Guckrohr
My project “Guckrohr” creates an illusion. Not an illusion of a virtual reality – an illusion of a real reality. This could be the light coming through a window, the shadow of a tree, or something natural missing in our future environment of the big cities.
The Illusion is created by the phone light, which means you put your phone in the device in order to get the object run and at the same moment you face the real surrounding/reality. Via magnet, you can attach different “filters” on the front of the cone to create different illusions.
Additionally, the object is turning around its own axis to a maximum of 180° in a very slow tempo, in order to simulate the movement of the real sun.
As a further development of my prototype, the material has to be carefully choosen and the motor has to work fluently in very low velocity. Furthermore, there could be also a docking station inside the box base in order to charge the battery of your phone while using the Guckloch.
